Our flock was started in 1987. The ewe base is and has been mainly Hampshire and are predominantly Cabaniss bred with a handful of other genetics. We have blended these genetics and have been using mostly home raised sires since 1996. We feel this has greatly improved our consistency and predictability in our lamb crop, in our ewe flock and especially in our stud bucks.

One of the most influential rams to hit the club lamb industry in some time is no doubt “Cajun”. He was raised by Castro Club Lambs and was sired by Marcantel 77-96, which was a twin to Marcantel 78-96, our ‘’78” ram. Unfortunately we lost this great buck, but he continues to influence our flock with his daughters as well as a son (“23”) and a grandson (“43”).
